Day 10: Esztergom - Budapest 80km
Day 11: day off in Budapest
Today we finished our journey along the Danube , after having cycled 685km on its shores. We will probably miss it a little bit but we are glad to start cycling in the hills of Romania and have some more variations in the landscape. Tomorrow we will take a day off in Budapest and try to book a train to cluj in Romania. for there, where we will head to the cold and bears of the carpates mountains ;)
The journey between Esztergom and Budapest was nice but not really special. It was mainly a challenge to find the bicycle path , but we had time so we decided to stay on it and avoid the traffic, even if it made us cycle some more kilometers, sometimes on really muddy bumpy trail.
Arriving in Budapest was splendid , as the Danube really enter the center of the city and we could see impressive monuments from far away getting bigger and bigger.
